ちょと専門的な話ですが、Unix と言うサーバーサイドの
高機能なOSと同じことができるOSそれがLinux です。

同じことができるなら、フリーの方がいいにきまってる
現在のクラウドの技術はほとんどLinux が支えているんです。
　
Mac os は、Unix を基本に、ハードウエアとの最適化
を目指したOSです。

つまり、Linux とMac os は兄弟ということです。
サーバーサイドの話をすれば、Linux のシェアは７０％
を超えているようです。

Linux はフリーであるがゆえに日々進化が目まぐるしい。

ビルがこれではいかんとある日Linux 陣営に多額の寄付を
したそうです。もうこれ以上シェアを取られたら、
大量の失業者が出てしまうので、シェアを取らないでくれ
という意味だろうけど・・・。

Linux 陣営は、もらえるものはもらっとこう、ただ、私たちの作るOSはフリーなんだから、勝手に広がることに責任とれない、どんだけバカなんだ、ビル・・・と笑ったそうです。
